Regular Season Round 4: BC Titebi - Mgzavrebi 66-75

Very important is a home loss of third ranked BC Titebi (2-1) against eleventh ranked Mgzavrebi (1-3) on Sunday night. Host BC Titebi was defeated by Mgzavrebi in a tough game in Tbilisi 66-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Titebi. It looked good early as BC Titebi took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mgzavrebi had a 18-15 second period charge getting the lead and BC Titebi was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-75. Mgzavrebi forced 21 BC Titebi turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Taj Spencer (201, college: CBU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import guard Daniel Duarte (190, college: St.Leo) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by the former international power forward Nika Metreveli (213-91, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for BC Titebi. American forward Tristin Walley (201-96, college: Arkansas St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Mgzavrebi left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Cactus Tbilisi. BC Titebi at the other side keeps the third position with one game lost. Mgzavrebi's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rustavi (#8) at home and it may be quite challenging game. BC Titebi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Dinamo Tbilisi.
