Very predictable result in Valladolid where second ranked Carramimbre (6-1) smashed 7th ranked Lleida Basquet (3-3) 80-61 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American guard Frank Bartley-IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. American-Italian swingman Niksha Federico (201-95, college: Hawaii Pacific, agency: Two Points) helped adding 9 points and 12 rebounds. Bartley IV is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the losing side American forward Eric Stutz (203-92, college: EKU, agency: Players Group) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and Bahamas center Shaquille Cleare (203-93, college: Texas) scored 6 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Carramimbre. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Palencia. Loser Lleida Basquet dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Carramimbre will face Almansa (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lleida Basquet will play against Caceres Basket (#14) and hope to win that game.
