Regular Season Round 4: Vera - Dinamo Tbilisi 74-69

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Dinamo Tbilisi (2-1) against fourth ranked Vera (3-1) on Sunday night. Visiting Dinamo Tbilisi was defeated by Vera in a tough game on the road 69-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dinamo Tbilisi. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Dinamo Tbilisi was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Brandon Sly (178-96, college: Adams St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists and the former international swingman Beqa Chikviladze (196-91) who added 17 points during the contest. Vera's coach Irakli Khoshtaria allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Tyler Williams (196-96, college: San Diego) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Cedric Council (203-97, college: Coppin St.) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Vera and four Dinamo Tbilisi players scored in double figures. Vera used an opportunity after TSU lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Dinamo Tbilisi keeps the third place with one game lost. They share the position with BC Titebi. Vera will meet Batumi (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi BC Titebi.
