Regular Season Round 12: Chiba J. - Kyoto H. 88-61

The biggest surprise took place in Chiba where host Chiba J. (6-6) crushed league's leader Kyoto H. (8-4) 88-61 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kyoto H.. The best player for the winners was American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Chiba J. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) who recorded 21 points and 9 rebounds and Zimbabwean-American forward Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba J. maintains sixth position with 6-6 record. Kyoto H. at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Nagoya DD and Tochigi B.. They were replaced at the leadership position by Ryukyu GK. Kyoto H. will play next round against Akita Happinets trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Chiba J. will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya.
