Regular Season Round 6: Blu Basket TVG - Novipiu Casale 59-68

Leader Novipiu Casale delivered the fifth victory on Monday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Blu Basket TVG (3-2) 68-59 in Treviglio. Novipiu Casale dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Blu Basket TVG's 22. Strangely Blu Basket TVG outrebounded Novipiu Casale 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import guard Chris Roberts (193-88, college: Bradley) chipped in 17 points. Novipiu Casale's coach Mattia Ferrari used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Mattia Palumbo (196-0) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Novipiu Casale maintains first position in A2 with 5-1 record. Loser Blu Basket TVG keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Novipiu Casale will face Derthona TRT (#8) in Tortona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blu Basket TVG will play on the road against SS Napoli and hope to win that game.
