Regular Season Round 14: Portland TB - Golden St.W. 118-127
Date: November 4, 2019
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Portland where one of their biggest challengers Trail Blazers (3-4) were defeated by fifth ranked Warriors (2-5) 127-118 on Monday. They made 33-of-36 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game, while Trail Blazers only scored eleven points from the stripe. Warriors had a 39-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Forward Eric Paschall (203-96, college: Villanova) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Ky Bowman (185-98, college: Boston Coll.) chipped in 19 points and 8 assists during the contest. Point guard Damian Lillard (190-90, college: Weber St.) responded with 39 points (!!!) and 4 assists and center Hassan Whiteside (213-89, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Trail Blazers' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Warriors moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chicago B. and Sacramento K. Loser Trail Blazers keep the fourth position with four games lost.
