Quite upsetting was Magic's (#4) home defeat in a game versus fifth ranked Thunder 102-94. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Magic outrebounded Thunder 53-38 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (198-98, college: Kentucky) who scored 24 points. Point guard Chris Paul (183-85, college: Wake Forest) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Thunder's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Aaron Gordon (206-95, college: Arizona) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jonathan Isaac (209-97, college: FSU) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Thunder (3-4) moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Magic lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Thunder will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Magic will play against the league's leader Mavericks (#1) and hope to secure a win.
