Regular Season Round 6: KFUM Lidingo - Jarfalla 110-55

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked KFUM Lidingo (4-2) outplayed at home 9th ranked Jarfalla (1-5) 110-55 on Tuesday. The game without a history. KFUM Lidingo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Jarfalla to just 6 points in third quarter. KFUM Lidingo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Jarfalla's 24. KFUM Lidingo forced 20 Jarfalla turnovers and outrebounded them 63-31 including a 25-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. KFUM Lidingo looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Jarfalla's players. It was a good game for Yassine Cherkaoui who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Tom Goransson (-98) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Five KFUM Lidingo players scored in double figures. Swingman Biniam Yigzaw (185-91) replied with 12 points and 4 assists and swingman Amir Kasim (195-95, college: Santa Barbara CC) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Jarfalla. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Lidingo have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Akropol. Jarfalla lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. KFUM Lidingo will have a break next round. Jarfalla will play at home against KFUM Sundsvall (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
