Regular Season Round 15: Indiana P - Charlotte H. 120-122

Very significant was Hornets' (#2) just 2-point road victory against their close opponent Pacers 122-120. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pacers. Hornets shot 28 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Pacers only scored six points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Pacers were plagued by 34 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Devonte Graham (187-95, college: Kansas) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Point guard Terry Rozier (185-94, college: Louisville) accounted for 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Hornets players scored in double figures. Guard Malcolm Brogdon (196-92, college: Virginia) came up with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and forward TJ Warren (203-93, college: NC State) added 33 points (!!!) (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field) respectively for Pacers in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hornets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 4-3 record having just one point less than leader LA Lakers, which they share with 3 other teams. Pacers at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hornets will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pacers will play on the road against Wizards in Washington and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
