Regular Season Round 8: Tsmoki-Minsk R. - Rubon 95-75

Undefeated Rubon (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fifth ranked Tsmoki-Minsk R.. Visitors were rolled over by Tsmoki-Minsk R. 95-75. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Rubon. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk R.. Rubon was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tsmoki-Minsk R. had a 36-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Rubon was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Uladzislau Blizniuk (183-99) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 assists and Daniil Borisevich who added 18 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Egro Potupchik (190-94) responded with 26 points and 5 steals and the former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (200-91) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tsmoki-Minsk R. (5-2) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Rubon at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Tsmoki-Minsk R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Impuls BGUIR Minsk.
