Second ranked Sendai 89ers (10-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging their close opponent Kagawa FA (9-4) 97-94 in the fight for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kagawa FA. Sendai 89ers made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Sendai 89ers maintains second place with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Hiroshima D. which they share with defeated Kagawa FA. Kagawa FA at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Sendai 89ers will play against Koshigaya A. (#6) in Tokyo in the next round. Kagawa FA will play on the road against Yamagata (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
