Regular Season Round 10: Kobrat - Lahti 79-99

Everything could happen in Lapua at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Lahti and 11th ranked Kobrat had identical 3-6 record. But Kobrat was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Lahti 99-79 on Wednesday night. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 62-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Courtney Stockard (196-95, college: St.Bonaventure) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Tuomas Hirvonen (181-96, agency: HMS) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Lahti's coach Petri Velling used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Jordan Capps (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) added 22 points in the effort for Kobrat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Lahti (4-6) moved-up to ninth place. Kobrat lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with seven games lost. Lahti will face higher ranked KTP Basket (#8) in Kotka in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kobrat will play on the road against Pyrinto in Tampere and hope to win that game.
