Regular Season Round 4: UBI Graz - Piestanske C. 34-77

An interesting game for Slovakian Piestanske C. (2-1) which played road game in Graz against one of their biggest challengers Austrian UBI Graz (0-2). Third ranked Piestanske C. had an easy win 77-34. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to UBI Graz's 18. Piestanske C. forced 24 UBI Graz turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish forward Danielle Hamilton-Carter (190-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 22 rebounds and American guard Jessica January (170-95, college: DePaul) who added 27 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Piestanske C. players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Camilla Neumann (182-94) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and Simone Sill (179-99) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Piestanske C. maintains third position in Group A with 2-1 record behind leader Chomutov. Defending Austrian champion UBI Graz still closes the standings with two games lost. Piestanske C. will play against league's second-placed Kangoeroes in Mechelen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBI Graz will play at home against Slovanka MB and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
