Regular Season Round 6: Sao Paulo - Brasilia 81-69

An interesting game took place in Sao Paulo where 6th ranked Brasilia (3-2) was upset on the court of ninth ranked Sao Paulo (4-2) 81-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Brasilia. It was a good game for the former international point guard Georginho de-Paula (195-96) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. International Leonardo Meindl (201-93) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Sao Paulo players scored in double figures. The former international Arthur Silva (196-82) replied with 19 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and point guard Guilherme Santos (189-97) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Brasilia. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sao Paulo moved-up to fifth place. Brasilia at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Sao Paulo will have a break next round. Brasilia will play on the road against Paulistano (#8) in Sao Paulo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
