Regular Season Round 2: Shahrdari BA - Naft Abadan 58-63

No shocking result in a game when Naft Abadan (2-0) beat Shahrdari BA (0-2) in Abbass 63-58 on Thursday. The former international center Mohammad Torabi (211-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. The former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Naft Abadan players scored in double figures. Ivorian center Willy Kouassi (208-91, college: Arkansas) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and the former international swingman Ali Jamshidi (196-85) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Shahrdari BA. Shahrdari BA's coach Reza Hengampour rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naft Abadan will face Shahrdari Q. (#14) in Qazvin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shahrdari BA will play on the road against Army in Tehran and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
