Regular Season Round 7: Slask - Trefl 71-87

Leader Trefl delivered the sixth victory on Thursday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Slask (3-4) 87-71 in Wroclaw. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Slask. Trefl made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Cameron Ayers (196-91, college: Bucknell) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 assists. The former international power forward Pawel Leonczyk (203-86) helped adding 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Trefl players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89, agency: Alti Sport) responded with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Torin Dorn (196-95, college: NC State) scored 17 points. Trefl (6-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place, which they share with Torun. Newly promoted Slask dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Radom. Trefl will meet at home Start (#5) in the next round. Slask will play against GTK (#14) and hope to secure a win.
