Regular Season Round 19: Soles - Angeles 113-76

LNBP top team - Soles (15-4) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Angeles (1-18) in Mexicali 113-76. Soles looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Angeles' players. It was a quality performance for international guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 assists. American-Argentinian center Daniel Amigo (208-95, college: Denver) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Soles' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Puerto Rican Jeff Burgos came up with 26 points and 5 rebounds and Panamanian swingman Alejandro Grant (199-93) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Angeles in the defeat. Five Soles and four Angeles players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Soles. They maintain first place with 15-4 record. Angeles lost their twelfth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Soles will again meet at home Angeles (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Angeles will have a break next round.
