Regular Season Round 7: Bullets - Kings 85-95

An interesting game for Kings (8-1) which played road game in Brisbane against 4th placed Bullets (4-4). First ranked Kings managed to get a 10-point victory 95-85. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bullets. Bullets were plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Brad Newley (199-85, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. At the losing side American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-91, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and international guard Nathan Sobey (190-90, college: Wyoming) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kings and four Bullets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings maintains first place with 8-1 record. Bullets at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Kings will play against bottom-ranked Illawarra Hawks (#9) in Gwynneville in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bullets will play on the road against Cairns Taipans (#8) and hope to get back on the winning track.
