Regular Season Round 9: SOPCC - GET Vosges 79-70

There was no surprise in Pont de Cheruy where 9th ranked GET Vosges (3-5) was defeated by third ranked SOPCC (8-1) 79-70 on Friday. SOPCC forced 24 GET Vosges turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (171-87) who scored 9 points, 13 assists and 4 steals. Guard Morgan Durand (188-93) chipped in 16 points. SOPCC's coach Moatassil Rhennam used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was DR Congolese swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-97) who recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds and Turkish center Mutlu Demir (211-87) added 16 points respectively. SOPCC moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Rueil. Loser GET Vosges keeps the ninth position with five games lost. SOPCC will face Saint Vallier (#4) on the road in the next round. GET Vosges will play against the league's second-placed Rueil (#2) and hope to win that game.
