The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Twarde Pierniki as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Twarde Pierniki defeated 4th placed Asseco Arka in Torun 80-65. Twarde Pierniki dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Asseco Arka's 26. Twarde Pierniki forced 20 Asseco Arka turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) fired 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Keith Hornsby (193-92, college: LSU) chipped in 20 points. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Armani Moore (193-94, college: Tennessee) added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Asseco Arka players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Trefl. Asseco Arka at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with MKS DG. Asseco Arka will play next round against Legia trying to get back on the winning streak. Twarde Pierniki will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Polpharma in Starogard Gdanski.
