Regular Season Round 4: Angers - Toulouse 59-61

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LF2 took place in Angers. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Angers (2-2) to top-ranked Toulouse (4-0) 61-59 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Angers. Strangely Angers outrebounded Toulouse 46-21 including a 22-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Isabelle Strunc (180-91) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Lucie Carlier (187-90) contributed with 12 points for the winners. American forward Tiffany Clarke (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds and her fellow American import power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Angers. Toulouse have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Aulnoye. Angers at the other side keeps the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Montbrison. Toulouse is looking forward to face league's leader Aulnoye at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Angers will play against SIG (#10) in llkirch-Graff. and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
