Regular Season Round 25: Cimarrones - Titanes 63-81

LPB top team - Titanes (17-4) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked Cimarrones (7-14) in Quibdo-Choco 81-63. Titanes dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 14. They outrebounded Cimarrones 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Leandro Cabrera who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Gianluca Bacci (187-89) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Argentinian forward Jose Materan-Suarez (200-96) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Venezuelan center Miguel Bolivar (205-92) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Cimarrones. Cimarrones' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Titanes have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-4 record. Cimarrones lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Titanes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cimarrones will play again against the league's leader Titanes (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
