The game in Makati City was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Meralco Bolts (8-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Columbian Dyip (4-6). Meralco Bolts did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 92-74. Meralco Bolts dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Columbian Dyip's 36 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Columbian Dyip 62-42 including a 44-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) notched a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and center Raymond Almazan (206-89) supported him with 18 points and 24 rebounds. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Even a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds by American Khapri Alston (198-94, college: Midwestern St., agency: Agency) did not help to save the game for Columbian Dyip. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-93) added 21 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Meralco Bolts have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Columbian Dyip at the other side keeps the seventh place with six games lost. Meralco Bolts will have a break next round. Columbian Dyip will play on the road against Ginebra Kings (#4) in Manila and hope to win that game.
