The game between closely ranked teams ended with 4th ranked Warriors' (2-7) home loss to third ranked Timberwolves (5-3) 119-125 on Friday. Timberwolves forced 19 Warriors turnovers. Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) scored 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) chipped in 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Timberwolves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was DAngelo Russell (196-96, college: Ohio St.) with 52 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Alec Burks (198-91, college: Colorado) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Timberwolves keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Warriors dropped to the fifth place with seven games lost. Timberwolves will have a break next day. Warriors will play at home against Thunder (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
