Regular Season Round 6: Hamar - FSU 82-75
Date: November 8, 2019
D1 top team - Hamar (6-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked FSU (1-4) 82-75. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-14. But FSU won third quarter 28-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Coastal) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Palmi Jonsson (196-93) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. American forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: Jacksonville St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks and Ragnar Sigurjonsson added 17 points in the effort for FSU. FSU's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hamar have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. FSU lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with four games lost. Hamar's next round opponent will be Skallagrimur (#6) in Borganes where they are favorite. FSU will play at home against Hottur and hope to win that game.
