Regular Season Round 9: Toulouse - Le Havre 80-85

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Toulouse (3-5) was defeated at home by third ranked STB Le Havre (7-2) 85-80 on Friday. STB Le Havre made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Toulouse turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Toulouse's players. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) who scored 27 points and 5 assists. Calvin Hippolyte (197-0, agency: Duran International) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Ivorian center Bali Coulibaly (199-95) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four STB Le Havre and five Toulouse players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for STB Le Havre. They moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Boulogne. Loser Toulouse dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. STB Le Havre will face league's leader Etoile Angers at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toulouse will play against Lourdes-Tarbes (#14) and hope to win that game.
