We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Bucaros (9-9) beat 4th placed Academia (9-14) in Montana 83-79 on Friday. It was a very good performance for Venezuelan Jose Rodriguez (197-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. The former international point guard Rodrigo Caicedo (180-88) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Bucaros players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Divier Perez (201-89) answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Romario Roque (175-99) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Academia. The victory was the third consecutive win for Bucaros. They moved-up to fourth place. Academia at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 14 games lost. Bucaros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Academia will play again at home against Bucaros (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
