Regular Season Round 9: CFBB - Saint Vallier 55-100

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-55 loss to fourth ranked Saint Vallier (6-3) in Paris. They shot 63.3 percent from the field and had 33 for 46 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored two points from the stripe. Saint Vallier forced 23 CFBB turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by CFBB's players. 33 personal fouls committed by CFBB helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) nailed 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winning side and Moroccan forward Karim Gourari (203-89) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Saint Vallier players scored in double figures. Daniel Batcho (204-2) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Rudy Demahis-Ballou (188-2) added 9 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Saint Vallier maintains fourth place in Group B with 6-3 record, which they share with La Charite and Avignon/Pontet. CFBB lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. Saint Vallier's next round opponent will be higher ranked SOPCC (#3) in Pont de Cheruy and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play on the road against Orchesien BC (#7) in Orchies and hopes to get finally their first victory.
