Regular Season Round 7: Enea Astoria - MKS DG 89-93

No shocking result in a game in Bydgoszcz where eighth ranked MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (4-3) defeated 12th ranked Enea Astoria (2-5) 93-89 on Saturday. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Enea Astoria was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Robert Johnson (190-95, college: Indiana) fired 22 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Dominic Artis (192-93, college: UTEP, agency: Network Sports International) chipped in 27 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Mateusz Zebski (190-92) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Kris Clyburn (198-96, college: UNLV) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Four MKS Dabrowa Gornicza and five Enea Astoria players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Asseco Arka. Enea Astoria lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. MKS Dabrowa Gornicza will face higher ranked Stelmet Enea BC (#3) in Zielona Gora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enea Astoria will play on the road against Wilki Morskie (#4) in Szczecin and hope to win that game.
