Regular Season Round 9: Levice - Lucenec 79-80

Round 9 most important game was a victory of Lucenec over 6th ranked Levice 80-79 on Saturday night. It was a good game for American point guard Mike Caffey (183-93, college: LBSU) who saved his team from a defeat with 26 points and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward James Murray-Boyles (201, college: UNC Pembroke) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin guard Amin Hot (192-92) answered with 18 points and 6 assists and Montenegrin center Marko Perovic (204-92, agency: 011 Sports) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Levice. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lucenec (5-3) moved-up to fourth place. Levice at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Iskra Svit. Lucenec are looking forward to face Rieker KN (#8) in Komarno in the next round. Levice will play at home against Prievidza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
