Regular Season Round 8: Vic - Igualada 69-70

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Vic (7-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Igualada (7-1) 70-69. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Vic. It was a key game for the top position in Group C-A. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Roger Perez (203-96) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pau Cami (173-96) who added 8 points during the contest. Jose Ortega (192-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Julian Garrote (185-82) scored 6 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Igualada keeps a position of Group C-A leader, which they share with Vic and Quart. Igualada will meet at home bottom-ranked Arenys (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vic will play against Andorra II (#13) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LEB Silver just one year after relegation.
