Regular Season Round 7: Alkar - Dubrava 93-76

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Alkar (3-4) beat 11th ranked Dubrava (1-6) in Sinj 93-76. Alkar dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dubrava's 38 and made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Dubrava 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Alkar players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American power forward Emmanuel Wembi (203-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Hrvoje Vucic (210-91, college: Walsh) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Alkar players scored in double figures. At the losing side Marko Sarac (204-97) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Dorian Jelenek (200-95) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Alkar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sonik Puntamika and Osijek. Dubrava lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with H.Analitica. Alkar will play against higher ranked Split (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dubrava will play against Sibenik (#4) to get more than just one victory in their record.
