Regular Season Round 9: STK Czarni - Sokol Lancut 95-88

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Slupsk. Second ranked STK Czarni faced 3rd placed Sokol Lancut. Host STK Czarni (7-2) defeated guests from Lancut (5-2) 95-88. STK Czarni outrebounded Sokol Lancut 38-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Patryk Pelka (202-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (199-92) who recorded 21 points and Bartosz Ciechocinski (203-91) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five STK Czarni and four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Sokol Lancut's coach Dariusz Kaszowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. STK Czarni maintains second place with 7-2 record having just one point less than leader Gornik Walbrzych. Sokol Lancut at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. STK Czarni are looking forward to face GKS Tychy (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sokol Lancut will play against Pruszkow and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
