A very close game took place in Santiago between Temuco and Universidad Catolica. Sixth ranked Temuco (1-3) got a very close victory on the road over one of their biggest challengers Universidad Catolica (2-3). Temuco managed to escape with a 3-point win 84-81 on Saturday evening. Temuco made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Temuco outrebounded Universidad Catolica 43-31 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Kenny Wormley (193-96, college: Hofstra) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and South African forward Pieter Prinsloo (208-92, college: Marist, agency: Promo Sport ID) supported him with 28 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists by American Scott Cutley (196-85, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for Universidad Catolica. His fellow American import guard DJ Ursery (193, college: Alaska-Anch.) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Temuco left bottom position moving up to fifth place. Loser Universidad Catolica keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Puerto Montt. Temuco will meet league's leader Los Leones in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Universidad Catolica will play against the league's second-placed Universidad de Concepcion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
