Regular Season Round 16: Yamagata - Kagawa FA 86-95

Rather predictable result when second ranked Kagawa FA (10-4) won against on the road 6th ranked Yamagata (3-13) 95-86 on Saturday. Kagawa FA looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Stephen Hurt (211-93, college: Kansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Torian Graham (196-93, college: ASU) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Yamagata. Four Kagawa FA and five Yamagata players scored in double figures. Kagawa FA maintains second position with 10-4 record having six points less than leader Gunma. Yamagata lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 13 games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round. Yamagata will play again at home against the league's second-placed Kagawa FA (#2) and hope to win that game.
