Regular Season Round 6: Apollon P. - Olympiacos B 61-63

A very interesting game took place in Patra. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd ranked Apollon P. (4-2) to sixth ranked Olympiacos B (4-1) 63-61 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for center Petros Melissaratos (205-93) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Andreas Petropoulos (194-96) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Olympiacos B players scored in double figures. Angelos Tsamis (192-81) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Fotios Zoumpos (194-93) added 22 points in the effort for Apollon P.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olympiacos B have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Agriniou. Apollon P. at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Olympiacos B's next round opponent will be Eleftheroupoli (#9) in Kavalas where they are favorite. Apollon P. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Diagoras D. (#2) in Athens and hope to win that game.
