Very important is a road loss of third ranked JL Bourg (6-2) against fifth ranked Cholet Basket (6-2) on Saturday night. Visiting JL Bourg was crushed by Cholet Basket in Cholet 88-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JL Bourg. Cholet Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to JL Bourg's 24 and made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Cholet Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Greek power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Jonathan Arledge (206-91, college: ODU, agency: Two Points) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Serbian swingman Danilo Andjusic (195-91, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 14 points and American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for JL Bourg. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cholet Basket have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bourg. Cholet Basket will play against Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#16) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. JL Bourg will play against the league's leader ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
