Regular Season Round 8: Roanne - Strasbourg 83-84

A very close game took place in Roanne between SIG Strasbourg and Chorale de Roanne. Twelfth ranked SIG Strasbourg (3-5) got a very close victory on the road over 18th ranked Chorale de Roanne (1-7). SIG Strasbourg managed to escape with a 1-point win 84-83 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was a great shooting night for SIG Strasbourg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Travis Trice-II (183-93, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists and Boris Dallo (196-94, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. American guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: FSU) responded with 18 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and Olivier Cortale (207-97) scored 13 points. Four Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Limoges and Le Mans. Chorale de Roanne lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. SIG Strasbourg will meet at home Chalon/Saor (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Chorale de Roanne will play against Le Mans and hope to win that game.
