Bottom-ranked Gifu Swoops managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses. This time they won against tenth-ranked Tokyo CR 61-54. Worth to mention a great performance of American Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import center Joe Wolfinger (216-85, college: Citadel) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and forward Tenyoku You (194-88) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Tokyo CR. Tokyo CR's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gifu Swoops (2-10) moved-up to eleventh place. Tokyo CR at the other side keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Gifu Swoops' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Tokyo CR (#10) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
