We should mention about the upset which took place in Manila, where higher ranked SM Beermen (6-4) lost at home to eleventh ranked Rain or Shine (3-7) 85-91 on Saturday. Javee Mocon (193-95) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Richard Ross (201-92, college: ODU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Center June-Mar Fajardo (210-89) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Chris Ross (185-85, college: Marshall) added 19 points, 5 assists and 7 steals respectively for lost side. Five Rain or Shine and four SM Beermen players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Rain or Shine moved-up to ninth place. Defending champion SM Beermen keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
