The game between Top Four teams took place in Egilsstadir. Third ranked host Hottur (5-1) defeated 4th ranked Vestri (3-3) 82-64. The game was mostly controlled by Hottur. Vestri was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Vestri's 22. Hottur had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Vestri's players. Serbian swingman Nebojsa Knezevic (196-87) added 20 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Hottur have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Breidablik. Vestri lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. Hottur will play against FSU (#8) in Selfoss in the next round where they are favorite. Vestri will play against Alftanes (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
