No shocking result in a game when second ranked Sendai 89ers (11-5) beat at home 6th ranked Koshigaya A. (3-13) 85-76 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Taisei Shirato (181-95) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Four Sendai 89ers players scored in double figures. American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Koshigaya A.Koshigaya A.'s coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sendai 89ers maintains second position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Gunma. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. Sendai 89ers will face again Koshigaya A. (#6) in Tokyo in the next round.
