Regular Season Round 7: Faenza - Viterbo 70-48

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Faenza (4-2) crushed at home 11th ranked Viterbo (2-4) 70-48 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for guard Elisa Chiabotto (176-97) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Latvian forward Ieva Veinberga (187-84) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and Bulgarian power forward Katrin Stoichkova (180-99) added 9 points in the effort for Viterbo. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Faenza moved-up to fourth place in A2. Newly promoted Viterbo dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Faenza will face HS Lab (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Viterbo will play against Umbertide and hope to win that game.
