Regular Season Round 6: RC Celta - GDKO Bizkaia 66-68

The most exciting game of round 6 in the LF2 took place in Vigo. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Real Celta Vigo (7-5) to second ranked GDKO Bizkaia (11-2) 68-66 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was Latvian center Marta Miscenko (193-95, college: Wingate) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Laura Arroyo (180-91) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Breanna Richardson (185-95, college: Mississippi St.) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and Nigerian forward Elo Edeferioka (188-93, college: Georgia Tech) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. GDKO Bizkaia maintains second position in Group A with 11-2 record having just one point less than leader Estudiantes. Real Celta Vigo at the other side keeps the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Patatas Hijolusa. GDKO Bizkaia are looking forward to face Pozuelo (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Real Celta Vigo will play against Alcobendas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
