There was no surprise in Madrid where 13th ranked ADBA (1-11) was defeated by third ranked Real Canoe (8-4) 66-48 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Laura Prats (174-99) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Lucia Rodriguez (186-99) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Real Canoe's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Deangelique Waithe (183, college: LIU Brooklyn) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Jone Azkue (180-95) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Real Canoe maintains third position in Group A with 8-4 record having just three points less than leader Estudiantes, which they share with 3 other teams. ADBA lost eleventh consecutive game.
