The game in Perth was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Sydney Uni Flames (2-5) played at the court of seventh ranked Perth Lynx (2-4). Perth Lynx did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 93-74 on Saturday. International Katie-Rae Ebzery (177-90) nailed 28 points and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international guard Lauren Mansfield (170-89, college: Iowa St.) accounted for 13 points and 7 assists. American forward Colleen Planeta (188-88, college: PLNU) came up with 23 points and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Alice Kunek (187-91) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Sydney Uni Flames in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Perth Lynx moved-up to sixth place. Loser Sydney Uni Flames dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Perth Lynx will meet higher ranked Canberra Capitals (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sydney Uni Flames will have a break next round.
