Regular Season Round 8: Chalon - Dijon 78-90

Very expected game when 13th ranked Chalon/Saor (2-6) was defeated at home by fourth ranked JDA Dijon (7-1) 90-78. JDA Dijon dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Chalon/Saor's 34. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by American point guard David Holston (173-86, college: Chicago St.) who scored that evening 28 points and 9 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import center Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even 27 points by American swingman Jaron Johnson (196-92, college: Louisiana Tech) did not help to save the game for Chalon/Saor. The former international Mickael Gelabale (204-83) added 12 points for the hosts. JDA Dijon have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Chalon/Saor lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with six games lost. JDA Dijon's next round opponent will be Monaco (#6) at home. Chalon/Saor will play against SIG Strasbourg (#11) and hope to win that game.
