Regular Season Round 9: Angers - Stade Rochelais 90-71

Undefeated leader Etoile Angers delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 12th ranked La Rochelle (2-7) 90-71. Etoile Angers players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Jason Jones (203-86, college: Northeastern St.) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Etoile Angers' coach Laurent Buffard allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Luc Louves (208-89) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tim Eboh (197-97) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for La Rochelle. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Etoile Angers (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. La Rochelle at the other side keeps the twelfth position with seven games lost. Etoile Angers will play against STB Le Havre (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. La Rochelle will play against Dax-Gamarde (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
