The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Rockets as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Rockets defeated 6th ranked Shockers in Nassau 79-61. They outrebounded Shockers 50-37 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rockets made 10 blocks. Able Joseph fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Randy Williams chipped in 20 points. Rockets' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. William Rigby produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and guard Spurgeon Johnson added 14 points respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Giants. Shockers at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Wolverines. Shockers will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Rockets will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Regulators. It will be extra interesting game as Regulators is their local rival from Nassau.
