Jairis outrebounded Calpe 47-25 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Alejandro Gomez-arrones who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Italian-Argentinian Juan-Ignacio Jasen (200-85) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Jairis players scored in double figures. Power forward Didier Closset (200) produced 4 points and 8 rebounds and guard Joaquin Crespo (189-0) added 9 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jairis moved-up to third place in Group E-B, which they share with Benidorm. Newly promoted Calpe keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Jairis will face Cartagena (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Calpe will play against the league's second-placed Gandia and hope to win that game.
